Interior Designer's tasks

Interior Designer's Tasks

The biggest challenge before interior designers is to make the space look good-by choosing the right combination of wall paints and furniture. The interior designers choose flooring tiles as per the needs and requirements of the space. For example, the floor tiles have to be more durable and strong in the case of commercial spaces as the daily movement of people and goods are more in such spaces. Granite is flooring preferred by many interior designers. They often have several discussions with the builder, contractor and the electrician while doing up the interior decoration of a home. Interior designers also have to face the challenge of decorating an interior space within the set budget. Naturally, they have to plan the materials used in interior designing as per the prices which are prevalent in the market. Ensuring the quality of interior designing is the responsibility of interior designers. The interior designers need to have a deeper knowledge and more experience than the interior decorators. The next paragraph has the details related to interior designers salaries.

Interior Design Ideas for Reception Room

Office environment sets a mood of everyone around. Depending on what kind of business you are in, you need to decorate your office accordingly. You should not go for dull interior design ideas for a marketing company, which is all about creativity and innovation. If you do then your employees will be set in a conservative office environment, while your business will demand avant-garde tone from them.

The first place one encounters when one steps into an office is the reception area. This place sets the tone of the visitors. The moment you see the reception-room of an office, you can define the office environment in no time. The reception-room is a place where your guests come to visit you, your customers come to discuss any queries, and your clients come to discuss business matters; therefore, it needs to be decorated in a respectable and a reasonable way.

How your reception area is managed and designed can help your company even win business deals, because it sets the first impressions. And, a good first impression counts a lot. You need to know what kind of reception-room will be best suited for your company, but there are a few interior design ideas that should be a part of all kinds of reception-rooms.

Your reception-room should have a sleek and stylish table. It can be rectangular or circular, depending on how big an area you want and how much space do you have. The reception table should be maintained on day to day basis. It needs to be clean and should have all the necessary items required by your customers.

The reception-room should have enough lighting. It should not be too bright or too dull. As per the requirements, you reception-room should be well-lit, because lighting helps in creating an ambience and environment.

It is always good to have reception officers who have a pleasant personality. In most companies, females are preferred as reception officers because a female nature is much more nurturing and pleasant while dealing with people than a male. However, the most important aspect to be kept in mind is that the reception officer should have a cheerful personality, be it a male or a female. Reception officers should be well dressed, professional and easy to talk to, because they are first employees of your company to have any contact with an outsider.

The furniture in the reception room makes a huge difference. The furniture should be comfortable, and there should be enough seating available. You would not want to have waiting clients without seating. Therefore, apart from having enough seating, the reception officers should be well organized and alert to manage accordingly.

The interior design ideas should not always be unique, but should cater to all of these little requirements. Your interior design ideas for a reception room should always go around the aspect of functionality. Make your reception room beautiful and functional both, if you want to leave a mark on your customers, visitors and clients, because a reception room is the doorway to your office, which needs to be attractive.

Interior Design For a Warmer Home in Winter

Everyone wants a beautiful home. It is, after all, the place where you rest your head at the end of a long day, and your place of peace. A home should also be a reflection of the person living in it. Even more importantly, a home should be cozy. No one wants to be overly hot in their homes, and they especially do not want to be cold at home in winter. Luckily, there are ways for you to warm your house up without spending too much money, using interior design techniques.

The first thing you need to do is to check your windows. Your windows will either be gaining you a lot of warmth, or losing it. You must check to see whether or not they are airtight. If there is an air leak, you could have a much draftier house than if you ensure that you have all the sides sealed. Sealant is inexpensive to purchase, and will go a long way in warming your home. Take your curtains into consideration. Thick, heavy curtains will trap all the warmth into your home at night. You can buy beautiful curtains that compliment your home, but are thick enough to trap the heat in. You need to ensure that you keep the curtains open during the day to let in as much sunlight as possible, which will be key in warming your home!

Carpets and rugs are lovely ways of decorating your home, and are an important interior decorating aspect. In addition to their aesthetic qualities, they are excellent insulators. A soft, plush rug on a cold tile or wooden floor will go miles in creating a cozier home. When putting down your carpets and rugs make sure that you have a piece of anti-slip placed underneath. This will prevent the carpets from slipping and sliding around.

Should you live in a very cold place, you can consider installing a fireplace in your living room. They are relatively costly to install, so ensure that you find it to be a valuable investment. A fire burning in the heath will warm your house up incredibly, whilst saving you money on other home heating methods. Once again, should you be willing to spend the money, you can always have under floor heating placed under the tiles or floorboards of your home. Remember that this is quite a process, so if you can afford it, be prepared to be displaced for a while.

In conclusion, it is easy to see that there are some simple methods to keeping your home warm, whilst still ensuring you have maintained a good interior design aspect all round.

Interior Design Technology

Interior DesignThe strength of commercial interior design lies in the materials. What makes a workplace or a piece of furniture appealing and attractive is the marriage of different materials. The challenge is to combine different materials, to make it work, and eventually make a bold statement. The choice of materials is of utmost importance in commercial interior design. By incorporating the latest technology, you can see what you will get as an end product.

The extensive use of computer design systems in commercial interior design is fairly new. Today, thanks to the advances in technology, designing interiors and changing floor plans are instantaneous. Most commercial interior designers use advanced data and communication technologies at the initial phase of a project, but now, even at the later stages, these technologies are used to visualize their ideas and communicate them clearly to their clients. Computer design systems have become an integral part of commercial interior design, making the work of architects and designers much easier and fault free. Computerization helped them to serve their clients better, saving time, and money. Not only are the drawings more sophisticated, but the computers now calculate the cost as they draw, making them near fault-less.

Software such as AutoCAD, with its robust modeling capabilities enables commercial interior designers and architects to shape and visualize their ideas unlike ever before. According to AutoDESK, the redesigned interface of AutoCAD uses a single, easy-to-learn environment for creating both solids and surfaces. Designers can even create solid objects that have faces defined by complex surfaces. Applying materials to a model is a simple task. Just drag materials from a predefined library onto any solid face or surface defined in their model.Interior Design

Computerized interior design is a major technological advancement for builders, developers, architects, and designers alike. Not only can computers speed things up, they can also expand their horizons by allowing architects to create forms and structures that they could not imagine to build beforehand due to issues of practicality. Computers make life easy, they reduce delays cutting the time that designers have to work on a project by half and also transmit these files electronically. A project that could have taken several weeks now can be done in just couple of days.

As a technology driven company, MAiSPACE, seeks advancement beyond today’s standards. We think ahead and break free from traditional thought. By using the latest version of AutoCAD and GIZA specifying software, our furniture plans are virtually fault free. Our AutoCAD specifying software system allows us to work in two, three, and even four dimensions. Changes in facility floor plans are made quickly and it even allows clients to decide where to put walls, furniture and appliances by moving them around to their liking directly on the screen. A great additional benefit is seeing immediate quotes on screen so you can customize based on your budget

MAiSPACE incorporates technology at every step, from design through manufacturing. This is manifested also in our office furniture that adapts to technology as it evolves.
